Under the catchphrase ‘Let’s grow together’, the Orquesta Sinfónica de Castilla y León offers a programme maintaining the types and numbers of subscriptions with the purpose of attracting new audiences, gaining loyalty from the existing public and reward those who throughout the years have supported the orchestra. With the increase of programme number to 20 –there are 40 concerts between September 2014 and June 2015, the Consejería de Cultura y Turismo reinforces its commitment with the OSCyL and with music as a cultural reference in the Region.

The catchphrase ‘Let’s grow together’ gathers the spirit and fingerprints which, twenty-three years ago, were thoroughly accepted for the Orchestra. An identity the OSCyL has never forgotten and which has always allow it season after season, to count with the collaboration of the most famous professionals, both at national and international levels. And in some way, this year’s catchphrase also searches for recognition and an explicit gratitude to the public that have loyally accompanied the orchestra for years.

The new season of the orchestra counts with a multiple and varied programme with consolidated celebrities like the maestros Eliahu Inbal, Leopold Hager and Maasaki Suzuki, who share main roles with great talents of the musical scenario, like the violinist Vilde Frang, the pianist Iván Martín or the conductor Iliich Rivas. To these names, we must add that of Andrew Gourlay, who has incorporated as main guest conductor of the OSCyL.

Committed with current creations, the orchestra performs for the first time two new works by Lorenzo Palomo and Óscar Colomina, besides incorporating in its repertoire ten scores that have not been performed until now.

This year, special stress is once again placed on the youngest public and in this way, the Orquesta Sinfónica de Castilla y León maintains the same subscription policy as in former seasons, increasing its programmes to twenty, continuing with its special homage to the subscriber, after the success of the previous edition’s initiative and incorporates its resident performers in the programme design.
