As a result of the experience gained over more than a decade in the field of production, communications and artist representation, SEED MUSIC consolidates four years after its creation, the record label associated with the launching of young talents in music and singular artistic projects.
The Edition of its book-discs, of excellent aesthetic value and with complementary material like author’s videos and texts adding outstanding talents coming from other fine arts, provide SEED albums with an added value difficult to find in the current market. To those already published Portrait (Cuarteto Gerhard), Interwined Paths (Joel Bardolet, violin) and Moments (Carles Marigó, piano), the DVD Live by the Trio Fortuny has to be added (Joel Bardolet, violin; Pau Codina, cello; and Marc Heredia, piano) and the last releases of the label: the album Offertorium (SEED005) of the consolidated chamber ensemble Barcelona Clarinet Players integrated by the clarinet players Manuel Martínez, Javier Vilaplana, Martí Guasteví and Alejandro Castillo; also the album Legacy (SEED006) of the mezzosoprano living in Germany Anna Alàs i Jové together with her regular pianist, Alexander Fleischer, an album of Spanish and Catalonian music where this duo awarded with the famous competition Hugo-Wolf-Akademie (Stuttgart) shows their joint experience of more than a decade; Les set fulles del faig (SEED007), the complete session with two pianos, Carles Marigó and Marco Mezquida from Menorca, a proposal at four hands based on improvisation; and the debut of the award-winning Cosmos Quartet, Influences (SEED008), with Works by Haydn, Brahms and the Catalonian composer Raquel García-Tomás.
Among the next Works of the SEED MUSIC season, worthy of mention is Temperaments, the proposal of the duo Mireia Farrés (soloist of the OBC) and the pianist Mercè Hervada with an extensive programme including essential works of the trumpet repertoire by Honegger and Enesco, also Hindemith, Peaslee, Bolter, Turrin and Ewazen, and a work commissioned to the composer Salvador Brotons.
